BAFTA Awards 2012 – winners list

The British Academy of Film and Television presented this year’s BAFTA Awards this evening. The Artist took home seven major ones, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay.

Meryl Streep won the BAFTA for Best Actress for The Iron Lady, Octavia Spencer was presented with the award for Best Supporting Actress for The Help, and Christopher Plummer won the award for Best Supporting Actor for Beginners.

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy won the BAFTAs for Outstanding British Film and Best Adapted Screenplay, and The Skin I Live In was named Best Film Not in the English Language.
